Jonathan Prater

In the summer of 2005, Jonathan ventured to California to establish himself as a choreographer. He quickly made his mark on the LA dance scene by teaching throughout the area in acclaimed studios, such as Debbie Reynolds. Dancers from around the globe are taken by Jonathan’s unique style of hip hop fused with a rock pop vibe that focuses on musicality to the fullest. All the while, he pushes his students to dance outside of their usual style and movement comfort zones. The results are an extraordinary style of choreography that continually stands out!At 17, Jonathan started his career touring with Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block during the “House of Blues World Tour.”

At 17, Jonathan started his career touring with Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block during the “House of Blues World Tour.”He has worked with many artists since then: Hilary Duff, Aaron Carter, Brooke Hogan and Shakria on her “She-Wolf” video. He also toured with Sean Paul and Snoop Dogg, as well as, choreographed for the hit song “Fantasy” by recording artist and producer Timbaland Feat. “Money.” Jonathan can also be seen on Michael Jackson’s This is It in the special features section.

Top professional dance agency, MSA, selected Jonathan from a private audition. He was also selected as an artist  development choreographer on CBS’s new hit show Industry. In addition, be sure to check him out in the heavily  anticipated remake of the legendary movie, Footloose.
