Erica Sobol

Erica is a Los Angeles original—born and raised. After high school, she moved to New York City, where she earned her BA in dance-theater from Barnard College at Columbia University; as well as, beginning her professional dance training at the prestigious Broadway Dance Center. Her teaching career also took flight in NYC upon earning a position as a faculty member at Manhattan’s Peridance. Erica is thrilled to be back in LA where she continues to create and train. She has worked alongside many exceptional choreographers and traveled the world teaching as a master instructor. She is also on faculty at the Edge Performing Arts Center.Erica is the founder and artistic director for collidEdance..

Erica is the founder and artistic director for collidEdance, an ever-evolving professional dance company dedicated to blurring the line between dance and theater. Debuting back in New York in 2004, collidE is now based in LA and thriving. Erica feels lucky, so lucky to be inspired everyday.
